Angus Council plans to replace our wardens with a caretaker, meaning reduced levels of care within Inglis Court, Edzell.

We need the wardens so the elderly can continue maintaining their independence as long as possible. If someone pulls their emergency cord, the changes will mean someone will now have to travel 7 to 14 miles from Brechin or Montrose to assist them. This is not acceptable.
Agree we must keep wardens, who are very skilled at what they do. Also think Sheltered Housing should be for older people only.
We need to keep the wardens in situ !!!!

The time scale between a warden being at someones door or someone travelling from miles away could be a matter of life and death. For many just the knowledge that someone is there close by gives peace of mind. Something that gives more than is realised...feeling safe.
