As a rate payer I was not informed or notified that the MCC were considering this change to our property zoning. I find it deeply offensive that developers are invading the whole Mid North Coast with high density house. Eg over 55’s housing but the right to run a business from your own rural property is going to be taken away from us. MCC has a record of being ridiculously slow at approving DA’s and has many DA’s waiting for approval., Many of these development that would be of benefit to the economic growth of the area but are instead diverting their attention and resources to changing the R5Zoning. The problem appears to be that the MCC Council is above accountability of the people who actually fund the council, the rate payers. This council has proven yet again to be ineffective, underhanded and sneaky in the way it runs its business. Totally untrustworthy

we would agree that such changes of policy should not be promoted or implemented without discussion. Your letter is the first we have heard of it.

It’s shocking to me that there would not be clear communication given to everyone and made very public that changes are being made. Every law that is under consideration needs to be given the an ear and a very clear path for a say and a vote.
