Hello and Thank You for visiting my petition, A recent policy from the principal of Fairmont High School now prevents teachers from being able to lock their doors during class hours. Fairmont High is one of the least safest campus in Robeson County! All building doors at Fairmont High remains unlocked during school hours. With our multiple buildings being easily accessed at any time these factors create a threat to your child's safety at school! Fairmont High School's administration doesn't seem to care about this safety issue at all. At any time a stranger looking for trouble could just walk into one of the buildings and open fire at hundreds of children. The emergency exits are only good if the front door of the classroom is preventing intruders access into the classroom. The school also lacks the training of what to do if an emergency such as a shooting occurs on school campus. Please sign our petition to help over turn this new policy which is endangering your child's life. Also please call the PSRC Board of Education and complain about this new policy @ 910-671-6000.
