We don't need oil. We need a carbon tax. We need solar and nuclear energy.

Why waste time and money on exploration and environmental impact assessments for dirty, unsustainable oil exploration? We need to spend the money and resources to develop clean wind and solar energy production. "Don'tBPmyAssateagueBeaches"

Large numbers of birds use the Eastern Shore as part of their migratory route. Oil spills would make life very difficult for them.

We do not need more oil exploration. We must preserve our fish and wildlife.

The eastern seaboard is too special to be ruined by oil drilling, and towering rigs blocking our view of the sky

there is no place on the east coast as pristine, wild and wonderful as Virginia's eastern shore, except possibly a few islands off Georgia. I think it's odd that you will now expose this tiny precious remaining area, so important to wildlife, to a potential threat. Why not pick on the rest of the coast, which is already "ruined" Is it because you're more concerned about dirtying beaches that vacationers and hotel owners care about?
