This is the ONLY store in Oskaloosa to buy men's and children's clothes besides Walmart. Yuck.

Penny's has a long, distinguished history in our Great City. I understand the pressures on the Home Office to cut costs, and reduce capitol investment. From "our perspective", it would be a Great Loss.
As other's have said, perhaps closing the Ottumwa store will draw more traffic to Oskaloosa. This is a vital community with a great future, and this Oskaloosa store (as you know), was one of your best in terms of customer satisfaction.
Please reconsider your decision.

If JCPenney's closes in Oskaloosa, there will not being any stores in our community for our male population to purchase professional type clothing. I was hoping that some day Penneys would again carry some household items - I was NOT expecting closure! I, for one, do very, very little online shopping. Please rethink your decision to close the Oskaloosa JC Penney store.

This store has been in our town for over 60 years and is one of the backbones of our town. Removing it would be a blow that could irreparably damage this community.

I'd rather not drive all the way to Des Moines or Williamsburg to shop at a JCP. As a future teacher, I'll need easy access to dressy clothes and a local JCP is a good way to grant me that access.
