Please keep the JCPenney store in Oskaloosa open. There are no other stores of quality there. The Des Moines store is 60 miles away and there are Kohls or Targets in Des Moines that are closer to us.

I love shopping in that store.. they have excellent deals and it's just right outside of where I work at. I go there whenever when my salon is slow and look around.

J C Penny's has been here my whole life. I can't imagine not being able to shop there. Please don't close the doors on this store. If it closes the only place we have to shop is Walmart and the quality certainly is not the same.

We need an alternative to shopping at Walmart and looking alike. This store has been here for years and I've always shopped here rather than online. I like others need to try the things I but on before purchase.

Every birthday and every Father's day my dad only wants a gift card to JCPenney. He lives in Oskaloosa and this is where he purchases all his clothes. What a devastation to the community if this store would leave. I really hope you will reconsider.

Please leave our JC Penneys open. Closing this store will probably close our mall and leaves us with nothing but Wal Mart and limited choices.

This community needs someone to believe in them and stay and work with them to make it a better place. From what I have seen the company hires too many young unexperienced workers that only cost the company money in wages instead of taking pride in the company and helping to grow the business.

JC Penny is the only store in Oskaloosa, other than Walmart, to shop for men and children. Women's clothing options are very limited as well. Please save our store and do not force us to travel and contribute our taxes to other communities and counties. I love this store!

My husband was born and raised in Osky and his family had remained her for 70 years! We have now returned after serving 21 yrs in Air Force to finish raising our 10yr old son here. We are also prospective homeowners! Losing JCPennys will leave us with little to no shopping opportunities left and could destroy this beautiful small town. If there is nothing here...people leave. Period. This would be devastating!

Removing two stores within 30 minutes of each other is a shame. Ottumwa has other clothing stores to fill their "need", but Oskaloosa really doesn't. This store needs to stay open to encourage local shopping in a small Iowa town that is working hard to improve its overall appearance. The loss of this store would be devastating to that progress. Not everyone likes to or is able to travel to a larger city to shop, and not everyone has the means or desire to shop online. Not to mention the fact that it is nice to try something on to make sure it fits without the hassle of shipping it back, and waiting for a different size, color, style to arrive.

I live in Exline which is south of Centerville Iowa. We used to have a JCPenney's and after they closed it our town went down hill. There is no place to shop for good clothes so I drive to my daughters to go to JCPenney's in Oskaloosa Iowa, It is around an hour drive. If you close that store the only one is in Des Moines. I will NOT drive in Des Moines. I'm 76 years old and it takes me over 2 hours to get there and onther 2 hours to get home. My daughter don't even drive in Des Moines. I would hate to see Oskaloosa loose its store and turn into a ghost town like Centerville. Please don't let it close. It will kill Oskaloosa town.
