I have 3 children, the youngest is now in her second year of college. They all attended Sargent School and had Mrs. Ceriello as their PE teacher. She is not only a fantastic teacher, but a great coach and a truly wonderful person who loves her job and the children she teaches and coaches.

My wife has put her heart and soul into Sargent. Never complained when they put her in middle school twice but 3 years from retirement to move her is a joke. I am sure the school board cares about money not students. They took the easy way out here and they are punishing the best PE teacher they have who always cares about students first. It is about time the board starts thinking about the students and the teachers that care. Not trying to avoid controversy which by the way was created by bad judgment of the last superintendent. It is time to reward the good teacher and not put her where you think to fix a problem that she had nothing to do with. This is 3rd time she has had to go someplace to fix a problem. Enough is enough. It is about time Beacon school district does the right thing and stop punishing the teachers who has done everything they can for the district and the students. In the past years your district has a terrible track record maybe now it time to do something right.

If she doesn't want to move they should find another option. Seniority should count for something.

I had her from k-5 as my gym teacher and honestly she was my favorite gym teacher of all time. She always knew how to make gym class fun for everyone. She organized many events like field day and walk to school day. She even volunteers to go to the annual 5th grade trip to Sharpe. She helped make my experience at Sargent unforgettable

Maryanne's heart and soul is in Sargent. She is a wonderfully enthusiastic teacher. It makes absolutely no sense to involuntarily transfer her to another school 3 years to retirement. The move seems spiteful and mean spirited, not to mention unfair to her students.
