My children aren't yet at Sargent, but anyone who seems so beloved a teacher deserves to stay where she is creating bonds and memories with these young children.

Maryanne is an asset to Sargent Elem. and should remain there for the remainder of her career. The students there would be devastated if she was moved.

Mrs Ceriello was like family to us during the time both my daughters were at Sargent Elemenary School. My oldest daughter Ellery was never a sports girl, but Mrs Ceriello encouraged her and gave her confidence that she could do it. My youngest, Ila, adored Mrs Ceriello who made her feel like a champion even when Ila was having an off day. I worked with Mrs Ceriello directly during the Field Day events for many years and was able to see her dedication to the children and her job. She has been a wonderful presence at Sargent school and deserves to continue to be there as part its "family".

I would like to take this opportunity to speak on behalf of Maryanne Ceriello and the consideration of maintaining her teaching position in Sargent Elementary School.
MaryAnne represents the Physical Education department and profession with the highest of quality and genuine concern for the student body, her colleagues and the entire Sargent community, inclusive of the parents. She has been an excellent role model and has devoted her 22 years of service to always putting the students first, being an excellent team player, solid leader for our department and all with never batting an eyelash at whatever challenge is placed in front of her. It was so devastating to hear that with only 3 years left in her career serving this district, that she of all the Physical Education staff was the one “selected” to be moved yet again, and with only 2 weeks notice before the start of the school year. I can honestly say that it is upsetting to me to know that MaryAnne Ceriello or anyone else who is as good and loyal of a person / employee as she is, happens to be the one being asked to “take one for the team” because of a disruption in staffing needs that Maryanne is not at all the cause of or should be responsible for fixing...No offense to JVF, but that is where the opening is and the person in need of the next available position should be placed there with no other shuffling of staff warranted. Please reconsider your decision to transfer Maryanne out of Sargent. Her loyalty and dedication should be commended and rewarded, not smashed.

Mrs. Cerriello had all three of my son's, They and I both adore her. I also had the pleasure of working in Sargent with her.
My youngest son has special needs and she always kept an eye out for him and if she was unsure if could do certain activities, she'd kindly reach out to me and ask.
Mrs. Ceriello has been a staple at Sargent...Please keep her there as she makes a huge impact on many.. This was also going back years ago.

The children that attend Sargent learn from and love Maryanne Cierillo. She comes to school each day with a smile and greeting for each child. She gets along well with all of the teachers, parents and community of Sargent. Her positivity helps set the tone for the school. Please let her stay where she does so much good!
