Let's keep Mr. John Magnus, beloved ballet teacher, in the Portland, OR area actively training young dancers in the art of ballet.

Mr. John Magnus has inspired and impacted so many people's lives through dance. It is with great sadness that his current students have learned that he is suddenly leaving the studio he has been a part of for the last several years. All who have worked with him understand that he loves to teach and is a gifted director. Known for working with the Joffrey Ballet School and Company in New York as well for his high caliber summer intensive programs, Mr. Magnus's reputation and past experiences are inspiring to dancers who are seeking training to take their dance to higher levels.

And we're not above begging him to stay in the area.

Not only is Mr. Magnus an outstanding ballet instructor, he has helped many a dancer discover their presence and confidence through his genuine care. He is more than a good teacher, he is a good person. And his current students want to have the chance to continue their training with him.

This petition is not just for current students that want to continue their excellent ballet training with Mr. Magnus, but also anyone who would support those students to that end, knows the value of all that Mr. Magnus has to offer young developing dancers, and believes that all ballet students in the Portland, OR area (and beyond- viva Summer Intensives!) should have access to the caliber instruction Mr. Magnus offers. Current students, former students, hopeful students, parents, colleagues, friends, and strangers who support the arts, you can help make a difference for the young dancers in the Portland, OR.

Help us keep Mr. Magnus teaching in the area. Sign our petition and share it with the ballet and arts lovers you know.
