Lindsay has devoted 10 years to our school. We rarely acknowledge the impact and importance of the non-teachers who are integral to our children’s education. Lindsay knows our kids and our families and we need her- not just another person who could do her job- in our school, managing our SUN program!

Grout needs Lindsay in the position of SUN School Coordinator. The mission of SUN is described online as “offer(ing) opportunities that support healthy child and youth development and family stability.” In order to achieve this goal, it is essential to have someone that knows the children and their families and what each needs in order to flourish. As a parent that was fortunate to have her in two kindergarten classes I have watched my children thrive from directly working with her. As PTA President for the school from 2017 to current, I have seen her direct connection with kids, families and our community at large. She has been instrumental in creating what makes Grout a special, welcoming and inclusive environment for families from many different backgrounds and experiences. I believe Lindsay, and what she brings to Grout, is irreplaceable.

Teacher Lindsay has been a wonderful support to my son since he started kindergarten four years ago. Her deep knowledge of Grout families and communities enables her to do an exceptional job running the Grout SUN program. In order to ensure the SUN program is as effective as possible, Teacher Lindsay needs to remain in her current position.
