Teacher Lindsay deserves to stay at Grout Elementary. She is the sweetest kindest person I have ever met. My daughter does have issues at times with meeting new people, from day one and her kindergarten class she felt completely safe and comfortable with teacher Lindsey. She bends over backwards for people and she deserves to keep her position. If she does not keep her position I do believe her parents and the children will be completely heartbroken. I know my family would.

We love Teacher Lindsay!! She was my 8 year old’s kindergarten assistant teacher, we love her as the SUN school coordinator. She greets you as a friend and knows all the kids and parents by name. She’s amazing and it would be a great detriment to Grout to lose her!

Continuity and experience are very important to a school. The children parents and staff deserve to keep Lindsay on staff as an integral part of their team/community! Budget cuts don’t need to affect the kids, it’s their education she is working for!

Cutting Parks is NOT the answer. Cutting people's jobs when they're vocations and they've become integral to community success is a recipe for disaster. Shame on Portland for passing this budget. Protect people impacted by it! Protect Lindsay's work!

There is no replacement to the genuine relationships Lindsay has made with the families, students, and staff of Grout Elementary. She is the glue that keeps the program and community together. Please allow her to continue to be the coordinator!

Lindsay works to make the SUN program at Grout a true community experience for the students and staff involved. She goes beyond making a program run to making it an inclusive space for our beautifully diverse community. Her role could not be adequately filled by another PP&R employee who is not a part of the Grout community and school.
Grout needs her!
