This is ridiculous. If there were legit concerns, it should have been a public forum. The board needs to grow a spine. What power do those people hold that don’t even have a board chair? Unreal. Money talks, bulls#!%t wins. Corruption kills the dreams of others. LET HIM COACH!!

I coached my Son's football team when he was in third grade I was so excited to be a football coach, I love football, I know a thing or two about the sport, and I was generally just super stoked about being able to teach these young guys the basics and how to play the game the right way. I had to resign because parents decided they were going to complain not to me, but on Facebook. People who have no idea what they're talkin about or how incredibly difficult it is to coach especially kids that young. Instead of coming down and offering help and support they'd rather sit in the stands and point the fingers and talk behind your back. I just couldn't grin and bare it. I'm not that type of person you got something to say to me come say it to me just like if I had something to say to you I come say to you. Parents are so scared to have their kids actually disciplined or you know coached with some bass in your voice, our kids are coddled too much these days. You know when I was growing up you miss behave in school you got the paddle, and I'm not for child abuse trust me on that but kids are soft these days. I'm serious I mean they want to give kids medals and trophies for just competing. I do not agree with that at all. You want a trophy you work hard you bust your ass you win the championship. Not everybody was made to be an athlete, that's just how it is and like I said our kids are soft, soft, I weep for the future. It sounds like this Charlie Maddox the QB was getting what his father conceived as verbal abuse and instead of saying something to the coach, waited until another coach who had nothing to do with this situation or the so-called belittling of his son, gets the head coaching position, (this guy is obviously qualified and the kids seem to like him) then this parent decided to get involved. The parent feels this coach shouldn't get the job not because he belittled his son but because this coach didn't intercede for his son, this coach was an offensive coord

This is just crazy!! I think the school board should be thrown out for even doing this. No wonder our kids are the way they are today with these parents getting involved in this. Those kids don't even go to Fleetwood. tell them to start a program at Oley. Is daddy going to follow them to college and yell at their coach to if they get yelled at for losing a gam.

Seems like another case of bullying being tolerated by FW! Should have told these 2 parents to shut their trap!

It's stupid how an executive decision can be flopped by a simple accusation. No investigation or anything, just a unanimous downvote. Not only that, but the two pillocks also wrecked his reputation as a formidable head coach.
