Save history that's why it's called history it represents a time person or place from times past.

Preserving our history is important. I haven't ever objected to statues that offend me, they have no reason to take down any statue in our country.

It's a shame if we let the junk from other states dictate our heritage and take away the real history of this great country good or bad it's ours

Let's show the world we are not idiots like the rest of the country. Why aren't people going after everything with Robert Byrd's name on it? He was a Grand Dragon of the KKK.

Leave the statue alone for god sakes if we try and please every poor snowflake it offends then we would have to completely change the foundation upon which our great nation was built. This statue has long stood in the town square for years and now that these other towns are taking them down cry babies wanna jump on the band wagon. These men of the confederacey fought and died for this country just the same as any other soldier that has perished in the line of battle. Should we really disrespect these men in this fashion? And yet no one is offended by arlington national cemetery look up history and wjo donated the land for the cemetery alot would have a change of heart

If this Confederate statue is removed so will EVERYTHING with KKK leader Robert C. Byrd's name attached to it be removed. He was a confirmed RACIST yet nobody yelling foul here. SMH
