There is no reason that a company like this should operate within miles of any neighborhood or city limits. We do not need any EPA issues so close to out homes and schools.

This type of business is always located in a rural, non-populated area for a reason - too much air pollution. The chemicals used in tire manufacturing are much too toxic for burning. Allowing this business to locate near so many families would be a environmental health lawsuit waiting to happen for Pickens County.

No toxic chemicals from burning rubber tires! Some people have been smart enough to just shred rubber tires and recycle them into pathways in parks which works great and is very comfortable to walk on. NO to burning tires!!!!!

I'm for industry and business growth but this area is too residential for this to be allowed. Property values would decrease as well as quality of life.

destroying the human well being and likely the wild life
too. Pickens County UDSO
Section 315 defines old tires
as junk and the establishment
of a new junk yard facility can
not be within 1000 feet of a
church or hospital. Neither can
qualify. Other findings of fact, also can not be met. Request
this proposed recycle facility be
disapproved preventing another vehicle to discharge
additional pollutants into our
atmosphere as they hover over
Easley, SC and it's surrounding
areas.

There can not be a zoning law that would permit an incinerator in a residential area. Is the goal to bring businesses to Pickens County at any cost?
