This school should be left open why can't com 2 and 3 have their 4th and 5th grades at Duncan and pre k thru 3 go to either Hobby or Clark, keep everyone close to their home for those who have 1 car and sickly children

We chose to live in Comanche 3 because of how close it was to the school. As a family with only one vehicle, it was essential that my children attend a school that was within walking distance. If Duncan closes, my family will most likely have to move.

I live in the vintage Comanche 3 neighborhood off of laguna. It would be ridiculous to close down duncan so we have to walk with our kids further through the horrible heat of Texas and also the freezing cold and rain during the winter. Many of these military families only have and can afford 1 vehicle. Duncan closing down will make a lot more families home school instead of being forced to another school over twice as far away as duncan.

Parents with children in multiple grades will have to either rush to make each school in time or just enroll all of their children into a different school! We never were given a reason for this possible closure, yet we do deserve one.

Please keep Duncan opened my child has moved around so much already and he is now comfortable with his teachers and friends Duncan staff is great they go above and beyond measures to get our kids where they need to and the walk / drive to school is very convenient right across the street from our home

My daughter went to Duncan back in 2011-12. I loved the school. Please don't close the school. why would you close a school that needs to be here. And make the teachers jobs 10xs harder. Buy adding more kids. That is just crazy! These poor teachers have enough on their plates than to add even more children to their class rooms

My family is a one car family. I have two little ones at hobby and one who could potentially end up at meadows. The traffic on post is so heavy early mornings and this would have my oldest on the bus for at least 45 minutes... factoring in the time it takes to get to meadows, and the rest of the pick ups that are needed to be done... also again let's not forget traffic. In addition there are so many unanswered questions to this rezoning... What time would school start? Would school start at least an hour after hobby to ensure I'm able to walk my two youngest to school and make it back home on time to ensure my 9 year old gets on the bus? In the event of an emergency or my child being sick what would happen because ... I'm so far away from the school my husband would have to get our son each time... which may now cause problems at work. Lastly I moved on post to the Comanche 3 area because of the school, convenience and location and just the overall fact of having all of my children at the same school until they were older but now with the possibility of Ducan closing and the rezoning, The pros and positives have now gone away. This decision will definitely put my family in a position to rethink our housing location and may even reopen the idea we had of HOMESCHOOLING!
