This market has been part of Dublin life forever. Do not allow capitalism destroy a market that is of the people and for the people. There are enough modern contemporary outlets for those that want them, Jeep this a working market for the working class of Dublin

I went to school at George's hill. what fantastic people working in the freezing cold winters to make a living. my grandfather worked there. It's a disgrace There ruining Dublin heritage by trying to close this market. Places like this and the stalls in Moore Street are our Dublin.

Stop the tender of the Fruit and Vegetable Market in Smithfield. Finance and run the market as a public municipal market. Conduct this process with full transparency and with a public consultation process.

As a fourth generation market person, Yes from the market in the picture. I am asking that the word Smithfield stop been used to describe its location it is not Smithfield and also that the people from the area are not forgotten about in the process. there should be transparency and it should remain in DCC hands.

We need to hold onto our Heritage! Surely you have given too much away already! When it’s gone, it’s gone! Learn from your previous mistakes before it’s too late!
