The volume of support has reached a level that the school board can no longer ignore. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the district office to request an immediate meeting regarding Dr. Overgaard's placement.

I cannot fathom a scenario where it would make sense to replace Dr. Overguard half way through the year (unless he is anxious to get back to his "retirement"). I have only heard positive feedback. Let common sense prevail!
David has been an entirely positive and effective leader. His kind approach has lent stability to Canyon Heights and I’m quite concerned that if we lose him at this crucial time, it will be disruptive to the school’s improved and transforming morale. Please keep him!
Our kids need the consistency. He is a wonderful principle who has established meaningful relationships with parents and kids. We hope he can stay.
Dr. David Overgaard has been a great interim principal - very engaged with students and staff - and adjusting to a new principal halfway through the year would be difficult for our school community. Please keep Dr. Overgaard in his current position for the entire school year.
I am on the PAC executive team at Canyon Heights. My interactions with David has led me to believe he is an invaluable asset to the CH family.

Switching teachers/staff during the school year is challenging for the students, other staff, and parents. We've experienced this sort of disruption in other schools so I know my children would be pleased to have Dr. Overgaard stay for the duration of the year if he's willing and able to do so.
