Due to Great River Health partnering with Fort Madison Community Hospital and Clinics, administrative changes have been made. The current administration team is changing Dr. Kolleen Burnett's contract. This could possibly force Dr. Burnett to leave our community and discontinue her practice with Great River Health (including Fort Madison Community Hospital and Keokuk Clinics).

Dr. Burnett is the pediatrician for a significant amount of the children in the tri-state area. She has been at FMCH for 10 years. During her time at FMCH and Keokuk Clinics, she has gone above and beyond to care for children and their families. She has been observed checking on her patients during extra-curricular activities, contacting parents in regard to their child’s health needs outside her office hours, working with school staff to help her patient’s experience educational success, working patients into her already overflowing schedule, building relationship with patients and their family, and consistently striving to help families foster growth and learning for all children.

As parents of children that Dr. Burnett has seen since birth, we are concerned that if Dr. Burnett is no longer a provider at FMCH and Keokuk Clinics, the standard of care will significantly decrease. We will strongly consider finding pediatric care for our children somewhere else. We would also strongly consider following Dr. Burnett to her next place of practice, should she be forced to discontinue her practice with Great River Health.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge Great River Health Administration to keep Dr. Kolleen Burnett as a pediatric provider at FMCH and Keokuk Clinic.
