As an alumni, I don't know what I would have done at LACHSA without Dornell. He is an incredibly important part of the staff at the school and it is not fair to him or to the student body for this to happen.

Dornell Carr has been so much to me. He is a mentor, a teacher, and something of a father/wiseman to all students. He is a cornerstone to Lachsa's music school, and is irreplaceable for all the love he puts into his job, and more importantly, into all the students. He doesn't just invest in his jobs, he invests in lives. He makes deep friendships with all people he comes in contact with, and helps keep love and productivity well and alive at Lahcsa. He needs to stay.

Dornell has been at lachsa longer than other teachers we must keep him at lachsa because he is one of the most important teacher there KEEP HIM AT LACHSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting rid of Dornell is a big mistake. He is an integral part of the music program and he knows all of the students and provides emotional support for many students. As an accompanist, he is one of the best, and he teaches others how to have great feel and time. He teaches vocalists how to interact with your accompanist and improvise with them. Please save Dornell Carr.

Dornell is an integral part of the vocal music department. As a musician, I am very aware of his strong abilities as a solid accompanist. Through his playing, he teaches the sometimes mysterious, but fundamental musical idea of “time feel.” When he’s playing, the groove is undeniable. He is an unsung treasure at LACHSA. Losing him would be a real tragedy.
