Don't cut your teachers. Find other ways to cut the budget. You can start with not sending out the flashy expensively printed mailers.

Dornell has been a father figure in my life recently. He is always so kind with me. And is so patient when teaching me music. He does not deserve this. LACHSA Music Department depends on him so much. He has touched so many of our lives.

Dornell was always like a father figure to the students in the music department and I have no doubt that he remains that way now. Besides being an instructor, he's something of a mentor and a friend to many of these students. He encouraged each student to strive for higher goals and instilled confidence in them. He is by far one of the most thoughtful instructors at LACHSA and his care for the students is a lot more obvious than many of the other faculty members there. To let such an inspirational and friendly instructor is by far one of the worst choices this institution could make. It's heartbreaking to see what this school is having to encounter nowadays.

Im not even in the music/vocal department, and I know based off of the casual hi and good byes, He loves his job, cares for the students, and influences us to be better people. Please keep him!

Dornell Carr is the heart and soul of what LACHSA's Music Department is about. In fact, I can't imagine LACHSA without him. He is absolutely essential to the spirit of this school.

I worked at LACHSA for nearly two years, and had the pleasure to talk with Dornell consistently over that time. He works tirelessly to keep the music department running and acts with the utmost professionalism and grace under pressure. He is an integral part of LACHSA, and he needs to stay.

Dornell is more than just a teacher he the human who keeps the music department running. As someone who has been in the gospel choir for 3 years i have seen his ability to inspire students first hand. He is more than just a teacher, he is a mentor. When i had to perform a solo for my gospel final he took the time out of his day coach me on how to sing while accompanying me. I would not have found the confidence to go up in front of my class and sing if it wasn't for this man. He is one of the most caring teachers at LACHSA and CAN NEVER be replaced. Help keep the promise of a lachsa education alive, we need him.

Keep Dornell at LACHSA. He upkeeps, inspires, and motivates the collection of talent of the entire music dept. The combination of Dornell and other faculty members is the reason why LACHSA's music department has been so successful over the past few years. I'm heart broken that a new principle has the audacity to obstruct and damage years of talent, reputation and success.
