Still no public comment from anyone in power. No explanation, nothing. What gives? So shady!

I am just concerned why the Superintendent and the School Board are not telling the community why the coach was let go. Don’t they have a obligation to be transparent with the community. Has the coach spoken about why he was terminated and does he even know why? Seems to me that there are more questions than answers. The football team has a right to know why DeHart was fired. Do you think this is setting a good example for our youth? Isn’t honesty the best policy? How do you think they perceive this egregious action by the administration?

I think this entire situation has gotten out of hand and I feel Coach DeHart deserves to know why he will not be returning. Our school board chair said in a statement at the school board meeting that Coach DeHart can meet with the superintendent. I hope this meeting will take place so he can defend himself against any allegations that were made against him. There has been so much anger and finger pointing and our community is suffering. I have read so many comments about not starting rumors, however so many of you are contradicting your own words. The school board or Dr. White has not given Coach DeHart a reason and many of you are speculating why he was removed and who the next coach will be without concrete knowledge continuing to add fuel to the fire of this chaotic situation. Whatever happens with Coach DeHart, our football program will continue with him or without him and the boys will be playing next to one another regardless of which side you stand on. Do not let your hate and anger over this situation poison your sons. We are all playing for the same team.

I don’t think King William has been shown in a bad light. I think that the kids showing that they care about a coach and what a role model he has been only shows King William in a good light. What is showing King William in not a good light is the fact that everything is so secretive with the board’s termination of the coach! And of course there will be speculation because there is no transparency with the school board on the reason for DeHart’s termination. Now what is this showing our kids when those in authority cannot come out with the truth on their cause of action! It is going to come out, because a savvy reporter will find out what is going on! But when a new coach comes on the scene and you see who it is then maybe the reason will be clear!

@KWfootball Infinity if you know something that coach DeHart doesn’t then either you are a school board member or a school board member told you. That’s illegal and cause for an additional law suit. Coach DeHart has not been told why! Even if there was no cause shouldn’t the superintendent at least called him in and told him personally? You have a right to your opinion but you have no right spreading rumors. What facts were presented? The only thing that has been stated is "we cannot comment on a personnel matter." What do you know that the public doesn't know? No one has met with DeHart, no one has explained to ANYONE why this decision was made. That is owed to him, owed the players and owed to the community.

@Jake Jeffries I’m in a position that doesn’t allow me to say. That being said it doesn’t matter who I am or what I think. It’s what facts are presented. I’ll agree “IF” DeHart was let go without any type of reason that would be wrong. I just don’t buy it at all.

@KW Football Infinity - how about you sign your name to it and not be so cowardly to hide behind an alias. If this was done with reason, why hasn't DeHart been given one? Why won't the Superintendent meet with him? Why is this done in a back room and in silence? This process is shady and far from transparent or with merit. DeHart deserves better. This county has been lucky to have him. Such a joke to think that someone else can do better and just step right in. KWHS Football will be paying the ultimate price. The program will drop off and that's unfortunate.

At the school board meeting it was suggested to talk to the superintendent in keeping the coach. That is what should be done. For others who posted that they stand behind the School boards decision which I might add are not that many then speak up what facts you have to stand behind this. There has to be transparency with the school board in their reasons to terminate the coaches position. I think the coach should speak out. Politics are played in everything nowadays and I would not be surprised if they bring in a new coach who got the job because of who he knows at the sake of someone who has been doing a good job in the position. Don’t give up until the coach is brought back. The football team wants their old coach back not a new coach. How do you think morale is going to be with this new coach. Speak up or Boycott!

No matter what your opinion of his removal is or how much you know or think you know DeHart KWCPS SB has made this decision with purpose and cause. I can only imagine it’s just cause. There’s a laundry list of reasons this coach could be let go. I stand behind the SB with their decision. It’s been a long time coming no matter if you like the guy or not. I go off experiences that I’ve seen with my own eyes. Not someone’s opinion. I’ve heard a lot of things but still I go off of what’s real. Yes this is about the kids, but it doesn’t go off of their opinions. It doesn’t go off if anyone’s opinion. It goes off of facts. If you think your SB would make such a decision as removing DeHart without thinking it all the way through you’re dead wrong. It’s been stated how “JV coaches want the position”. Anyone who knows what the criteria for being head coach knows that you have to be a teacher within the district. None of those fellas are so that resolves it. Stop bashing others for things they aren’t doing.

Reinstate DeHart!

Don’t let your voices be silenced! Someone is trying to bring in a coach that doesn’t know anything about varsity so they can get their buddy on the team and push their kids ahead of the game. Don’t be fooled the truth will come out Boycott!!!!
