The powers that be need to put their personal differences aside and allow Coach Dehart to remain with the team. It's obvious that the kids want him there. They don't want a jv coach who has no experience as a varsity coach. This isn't pop Warner football anymore. They also definitely don't need the jv coach from a few years ago, who honestly didn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground, yet he is supposedly good friends with the assistant superintendent, so how convenient would that be. The fact of the matter is the kids only want to play for Coach Dehart and that should be taken into consideration, because this is about what is best for the kids, not a bunch of grown adults who only care about themselves and a select few kids. I hope the school board has the backbone to actually fix their mistake.

Something does not make sense. If someone is fired they have to tell the person that is being fired the reason. Unless the reason is valid then the person that is fired can possibly sue for wrongful termination. Seems to me that all of a sudden the coach is fired before the new season would start with practice etc. Sounds to me like possibly an administrator wanting to bring someone else in to serve their own purpose wether it be their kids etc. Everyone that supports the coach should all show up at the meeting and voice your concerns! This is a travesty! Remember their are strength in numbers! Attend the school board meeting! I hope the press is there too!

For the people who actually say something as ignorant as the team is so talented they can "coach themselves" is a perfect example as to what the main problem is with high school sports today . Whoever you are believing this trash, your ignorance is astounding . You may be someone I know , I dont care . You dont get the record Dehart has and not know how to coach . How about this . Let his upcoming staff put together a coaches clinic vs this JV staff some are touting as being so great and let's see who actually is riding a wave of talent and who actually knows what t hff ey are talking about . This is laughable .

I knew Dehart as a student of KWHS. He was always an awesome mentor and knew how to connect with students. He has a genuine passion for the school as a teacher and a coach. Please reconsider your decision.

I'm going to raise so much damn hell at that school board meeting on Tuesday.

King William will forever regret this decision.
We will all look back and remember this being a turning point for when this program and school system went down the drain.

Add Stacy Johnson to the list of emails. She knows more and I was told she had her hand in this. Is that ethical ?
I don’t know many football coaches who work in the concession stand and go to other games of students like DeHart does. The countless hours he spends on films and researching. The relationship he has with kids is genuine . He’s a gem that KW will lose and some smart community will grab and never let him go. Shame on you the powers that be ! Email

He was my history teacher in 9th grade, but he still doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.
