Before Staton resigned last year, I had no idea who our chancellor was. Gerlach has made himself approachable for students over the past few months and has created an online presence for students to connect with him personally. I don't believe the photos posted are viable evidence to ruin the man's career. He is shown in these pictures never touching students with his hands, but sometimes with his arm around them for pictures.

He is 1000x better than Stanton was - he mixes with the students and is a great role model. Our daughter is in the College of Education and he wholeheartedly supports them and has breathed new life into them. This is such BS soy-boy, left-leaning crap that he is subjected to this. Keep him and make him Chancellor for good!

I truly believe all of this is taken out of context and blown out or proportion! Dan Gerlach is a great addition to ECU! It is a shame that the there people always looking for anything negative they can find. This is sad!

I do not think Mr. Gerlach set out to do anything inappropriate. I personally met him a couple of times. He is genuinely a nice person and really seemed to have ECU’s best interest at heart when discussing his goals as chancellor. I hope that he is given the opportunity to make things right and prove be a great leader for this university.

i never knew what a chancellor looked like before. i can recognize this man when i see him. he supports the community. he is just a person in the town of greenville, supporting it.
