I’m just exhausted from people making a big deal about non-problems - social media has created a Big Brother atmosphere where people are persecuted for actions that aren’t illegal - we’re a conveniently judgemental society where people air their personal agendas for other’s — he’s apparently a very effective interim chancellor who was trying to connect to students - was it bad judgement? - probably—- is it a fire-able offense ? I would say no. He wasn’t being touchy with anyone— he was just an over-21 adult drinking beer and dancing —not sins or illegal. He was in Public/not at work- he wasn’t publicly intoxicated, he never said anything offensive, and it seemed very mild. Whoever released the video should be seen as a trouble maker.

Proud Pirate parent of 3 current students. We were very impressed to see Chancellor Dan in the Boneyard interacting with the students. We enjoy seeing him chauffeuring students across campus in the golf cart. We have seen 3 chancellors in our tenure at ECU and know he deserves to be fully reinstated with a public apology from the Board of Trustees post haste!!
