The parents, families and friend of the U10s footy team do hereby petition for Coach Jake Denton to continue his coaching duties at Capalaba Warriors. We are all shocked and devastated that he has been asked not to return to his volunteer position as Coach in 2018. Coach Jake has not only taught the boys fundament skills but also mentored and been a positive male role model for so many young kids. He has sacrificed so much time and effort for our kids and deserves the respect of continuing his role as Coach.
The team has united as a family and to take away their leader and someone they look up to would be atrocious.
Let’s rally behind our great Coach Jake on behalf of our kids. Bring back Coach Jake!

found out today Jake the coach has been pushed away from the team he has built up for years, even though my child has only played in the team for two years due to illness Jake has been the best role model for his confidence in life and the game i don't see why change is needed to something that works so well when most teams in the club cant find coaches. Shouldn't the people paying the fees get a say in who coaches the team. my loyalties are with Jake rather then the club now. i feel like i've been made to choose between Jake and the club and i choose what my child chooses and that is Jake even if it means changing club.
Jake has mentored my boys for the past few years as im a single grandmah . He takes them wakeboarding ,sailing, surfing, scootering , bike riding and is there if they need a chat or just anything the boys need hes there for them. Its not just football this is a family that jake and the boys have built . U dont break up familes.
Jake has been the positive normal my son needed after battling a serious illness, he is the only person he has truly opened up to, outside the family, in so many ways as a coach, a mentor but more importantly a friend. Losing Jake as a coach would devastate him and the team.
I am confused why this is even necessary! Jake coached my son Aaron in 2015 and we were so fortunate to have had this opportunity. A committed and loyal coach he teaches the boys the importance of brotherhood, fitness, a genuine love for the game and the club. He and Sarah create a safe, friendly environment strengthening the "village" around these kids. We have returned back to NZ and extremely disappointed to read this .... who creates such a nonsensical rule? Please don't do this to the kids it's not fair. It wud be sad for the club to lose him and then those that will follow him.
Seriously his a volunteer and does an amazing job not only teaching the boys but has been a role model for my son as I was a single mum.
Keep jakey as coach the boys look up to him and he has taught them alot of skills not only football but also life skills
Good coaches are hard to find you need to keep the ones that encourage and inspire our kids and Jake does this.

Jake has been a great coach for Banjo and his team mates. Not only through rugby league, Jake also gets the boys together on a regular basis in the off season playing touch football and oztag to keep the spirit of their friendship going and balls skills tighter.
