This is not the right decision. Letting go of one of the best coaches at the gym—Coach Emrys—is a clear mistake. Your true assets aren’t the machines or the size of the facility; they’re the dedicated coaches who bring real value, and Coach Emrys is one of them. He has consistently demonstrated professionalism, commitment, and respect—he deserves the same in return.

He is one of the good ones, very professional and gracious and helpful! Gyms need more coaches like this.

Emrys is a truly great gymnastics coach. I had the pleasure to start learning handstand holds and walks and wouldn’t have progressed as far as I have without him. I was looking forward to his classes when I come back from holiday so I really hope he will continue working for FitRepublik. Please don’t lose a fantastic coach!

It is beyond belief that one could consider letting such a resource go. Em’s was instrumental in encouraging me to push through with crossfit and took time to view my mistakes and coach me even though it wasn’t his Job to do so. He is an extremely well qualified and humble individual and as I am qualified as a teacher he has the compassion and ability to capture and audience. It is truly a real shame that you as a team have the possibility of loosing such a resource. For the sake of the fitness community that Fitrepublik has created I truly hope you will re consider this. Hoping this meets with compassion and understanding. Sincerely, Josh

Don’t know what’s the reason behind this but its very disappointing to see one of the best coach in several and varied areas; he is a very complete coach that will only add value to your brand and keep members going and bringing more people to you. If you had more classes with him they all would be as full as the ones that already exist. Hope to see this decision revived.

Coach Emrys taught me all my gymnastics movements — from handstands to muscle-ups. He gave his time, his energy, and his heart without ever asking for anything in return. Fit Republik always says ‘you deserve better’ — well, we do, and that includes keeping coaches like Emrys who actually live those words every day.

Very poor decision. Does not reflect well on management treating much loved coaches like this.

Emrys is an extremely valuable member of the CrossFit/gymnastics space at Fit Republik. Please reconsider.

Emrys has been more than just a coach he’s been a mentor, a cheerleader, and a friend to so many of us. He’s given his time, energy, and heart to help people feel confident and capable, even outside his official role. Letting him go feels like turning our backs on the kind of community we all came here for. Please reconsider people like Emrys are the reason this place feels like home.

I was never a gymnastics person. After attending the first session with him, I have not missed a single one on Sundays in the last 2 months. Recently I started attending his CrossFit classes and appreciated his individual attention he manages with everyone. Letting him go, would be bad decision. Fitness coaching is people driven and your coaches are a key value proposition. Keep your best people !

Emrys is an exceptional coach with deep expertise in both kids’ gymnastics and CrossFit gymnastics. He understands how the body works, teaches with precision, and uses drills that are both challenging and smart. Most importantly, he knows how to talk to kids—motivating them with respect and purpose. Just this morning, I overheard a young coach “bro-ing” his kids—treating them like mini training buddies instead of guiding them with the care and awareness they need. That’s exactly what you don’t want as a parent. Emrys is the opposite of that. He brings professionalism, insight, and a genuine connection that helps kids grow in the right way.

I would also like to say how disappointed we are that Ricardo has been let go. We will really miss all his wonderful classes.

I’m someone who flies in every now and then and drops in at Fit Republik when I’m in town. From the very first time I stepped into the gym, Emrys was there - offering tips, guidance, and genuine support without ever being asked. If that doesn’t speak volumes about his character - showing that kind of kindness and generosity to a complete stranger - I honestly don’t know what does. Coaches like him are rare, and I hope you recognize that before it’s too late.

Rare people like Emrys deserve to be properly valued, a mentor for both gymnastics and FitRepublik community
