Clive was an amazing professor and I’m sure still is. He actually invested in students and was around for some of my best and darkest times while being a student at Moody.

Professor Craigen has always been a joy of a professor and a big part of my journey at Moody. Him leaving would be a terrible loss and discouragement! Moody has gained from his understanding, compassion and love for Urban teaching and his students.

Clive has been used by God to transform the lives of many students who are also being used by God to change lives in the inner city. Without Clive‘s consistent tenacity AfAF at Moody they may not be in urban presence coming out of movie with these great students. And students who are not serving in inner-city around the country who experienced the work that Clive has done at Moodie now look at urban America probably much more equitable space.

I graduated in 2016, from what I have experienced, professor Craigen has always sought the glory of God in his interactions with everyone, especially the Moody community . He truly embodies MBI’s mission “to educate students to think biblically, live Christianly, [and] serve the Church effectively.” To not allow him to continue to serve at Moody would be detrimental to the students trying to learn how God not only belongs in urban settings but how to truly exegete every instance God appears in urban communities and cultures typically ignored by the Church. Prof. Craigen helped me and countless others see God in places that the church either refuses to go or first tries change cultural practices instead of letting the Gospel change lives. Please keep prof. Craigen!

Losing Clive would be a huge loss to Moody. He has played such a pivitol role in the lives and faith of countless students.

On paper Clive Craigen is an adjunct professor but all who’ve had the privilege to sit under his teaching will tell you that his position/job title falls short. He pretty much handled an entire major-Urban Ministry. He’s not just one of those cool professors that can vibe with students. His love for Jesus spills over all his students in a way that changes you. He doesn’t just teach methods, principles, theory, he lives out what the textbooks don’t tell you. Not only did he teach the mechanics of ministry, for a lack of better terms, he taught how to love and actually care about people to the extent you are moved to action.
He taught us what it means to look at people as created in the image of God and worthy to be treated as such. He also cared about our personal lives, making himself available to listen, weigh out options, find solutions, make things happen, and not just getting us to pass his classes. Removing him from the Institute removes someone who exemplifies why this Institute exists in the first place. We get it, times are tough and tough decisions have to be made but God is sure to provide.

Clive was and is an influential, faithful mentor, teacher, servant, and friend. My husband and I spent many semesters learning from him in life, on mission trips, and in class. He has a unique perspective and influence - so much wisdom to pass on to future students at Moody.
