My father is an alumni, and Professor C. is the brother of a dear friend. Absent malfeasance, an academic who is committed to Christ, community, students and marginalized individuals should be a treasured resource, not a casualty of cutbacks. Moody's recent track record is not one the one cherished by my father and other alumni friends and family, and it risks the deep bonds MBI has developed with its students, alumni, and community.

One committed, passionate man who stays true to the work that he does. I have experienced myself his sacrificial time and his selfless acts of love for others . Clive is as real as it gets. It will be a great loss for Moody.

Clive is not only a true advocate for Moody's ethnic minority but also a selfless servant of Christ. He demonstrates this with his countless off-hours of ministering to the students and staff. I struggle to see how a man like this can be easily replaced by one person. This will be an enormous loss to the school and its mission.

You cannot mention diversity at Moody Bible Institute without Clive Craigen. Clive Craigen is one of the only reasons I still would refer any minority to Moody Bible Institute. He was a strong voice and presence in my life from the 1st day of orientation until my completion of studies at Moody Bible Institute. If you cut the contract of Clive Craigen you will seriously hurt and disregard the actions that Moody needs to display and the conversations they still need to have regarding Diversity. Imagining Clive Craigen being released from Moody makes me wonder how students will be taught to live diversely. It makes me think what the new administration is up to when Clive Craigen is on the chopping block. Could this be the same play that was done to Moody’s other urban presence( Dr. Fuder)? I would love to think that Moody is an institution that learns from its mistakes. Cutting Urban professors at a White Evangelical Bible Institute that says they want to keep the conversation of diversity going makes no sense to me. Moody please handle this well! Rethink your position. I’m sure you can find other places to cut that aren’t as significant as Clive Craigen.

Clive Craigen was deeply influential to my education at Moody. He gave my experience soul and pragmatism - and I wasn’t even directly in his program. If Moody is to continue as an urban located and urban focused institution, it needs his voice and passion.

I am a parent of a moody alumni. Professor Craigen played such an important part of her time at MBI. She was a part of the Urban Cohort and it had such an impact on her life. Prof Craigen went them on the outreaches in the area they were living, gave them direction in what they were doing. My husband and I attended the missions conference 2 times and were so impressed at the quality of these events. I don't know the reasons why his contract is not being renewed, but I pray that this decision would be reconsidered.

I am writing in support of Clive Craigen, a valuable member of the MBI faculty. As a MBI and MTS alumnus as well as a current faculty member at a local Evangelical institution, I am writing to express that Craigen’s practitioner-scholarship is the type of ministry we need in Chicago.
