After so many years there why move him out. It is so wrong when after being bereaved some are then wrenched from a place full of many happy moments. So very unfair. Show some compassion NPT ...

He's been told by the council that they are not obliged to rejome him, so it looks as though they are very much kicking him out on the kerb.

He will be rehoused, they are not kicking him to the kerb. This is about managing meagre resources. Is it right that one man live in a family home alone whilst a family are living in one room in a B&B? In a decent world there would be adequate housing for all but we don't live there. Don't blame the Housing Dept for trying to manage what little stock they have in the most efficient way. He needs to leave.
