Billie is one of the nicest guys I know. I've know both Billie and Jean for 15 years and have always welcomed me in to their home. It is wrong that he is losing his home where all his precious memories he made with Jean. He is going through a great loss and shouldn't have to worry about losing his home too. It's disgusting and NPT homes should be ashamed. Its a property to them but it's his HOME.

If your Dad has been in the property for a while, you can apply for a right to buy on his behalf. Also if he leaves a will to say who he wishes the tenancy to go to then that will be enough. Unfortunately we were unaware of this and ran out of time, I sure hope this helps and you don't end up in the same position.

Shocking to hear this. I know we will be in this position when my dad goes. Dreadful way to treat people.

Why evict this gentleman in the twilight of his years. It makes no moral sense.

At a time in someone's life when they lose their partner, the last thing they need is to be told they need to leave the family home. I have seen this happen to a few people and in my opinion it needs to be stopped and the tenant given a choice to stay or go. It may suit some to chose to down size or have a change of scenery but it NEEDS to be THEIR choice...!
