This petition is to the Roseville Area School District to request that they keep the Arabic Language Program going for the 2018-2019 school year and beyond. This vital language program is not widely available and provides students at RAMS and RAHS with a unique language advantage and experience that we cannot afford to lose.

Learning a language has far reaching benefits including increased and better communication, understanding a new culture(s), better awareness of other places, increased diversity, better intercultural interactions, and more. Arabic is not a well known language in the US outside of Arab communities (which also struggle to maintain language with so few resources available and so few non-native speakers with whom to converse). This strengthens and benefits Roseville's students and gives them unique advantages over student's who do not have the opportunity to learn Arabic.
We need the classes for our children to improve their cross-cultural interaction around the globe.
Please keep Arabic in ISD623 or we will have to look for another school to enroll our children in.
I was born in Asia and grew up speaking 4 languages. It is my biggest asset. I want the same for the youngsters at RAMS and RAHS. Pls do not take away this opportunity for them to lean a unique language like Arabic.
Great option for our children for future employment and cultural awareness.
The Arabic course provided in Roseville Area Schools is critical not just for the native Arabic speakers but for the future of the students in our community. I urge the Roseville Area School District to keep this course in the curriculum as it is beneficial for all. Integration and language is the first step to uplift our community.

I want Roseville Area School to eep the Arabic Language Program going for the 2018-2019 school year and beyond. I have 4 kids taking this this program and it is helpful for them. This is the language that my kids chose to take as alternative. If is not there anymore, I am not sure what other language my kids will take. Please keep it. thanks
