Don't force the athletes to lose classroom time to compete in their sport.

Please don't change the start times. Many studies have shown it just shifts the kids schedules to stay up later. In addition to sports, many kids have jobs, and this will cut into their work time.

Leave start times alone.

Later start times would have a dramatic and negative impact on the RHS athletic program.

I support healthy start and end times for our students. However, the proposals put forth so far are not healthy for K-12. Our children should go to school in the daylight, and if it requires more may require more buses and cost, so be it. Until the district can put forward a schedule that meets the needs of students (not including parent work schedules), we should keep the current times.

BOE, you want healthier kids? Reduce mandatory screen time, don't change a school schedule that works.

Please keep start times where they are. Thank you!

Changing times to earlier is going to wreck havoc on sports and after school jobs for all involved including parents kids and small business owners . I’ve heard many teenagers in my business say we will just stay up an extra hour .

Why is this being pushed through when most parents and students are adamantly opposed. I have five kids in all school levels and I cannot imagine my 5 year old walking to the bus as my 16 year old does every day. Listen to the majority and leave start times alone.

I've lived here for 27 years. 3 of my 4 children educated here K-12, my 4th about to enter RHS. I've been through a lot of changes here and this is the worst idea ever.

In moving to town and then finding out about this, I was quite surprised. In reading BOE minutes and budgets, and found the ~$700,000 tossed to EdAdvance to do a transportation study to acomadate the change, I’m so shocked why this had any traction. The district, and town overall, has a good formula. Stick with it!

Please consider all kids. Mine are graduating in next 3 years.. and I’m more worried about my young nieces and nephews and their health AND happiness.

Absolutely ridiculous that is is still being discussed when NO ONE wants it!

We need a healthy day for our elementary students. Try fixing our 9-4 pm day for the 3 elementary schools. All of a sudden we want a "healthy start" just for our HS students? It's an embarrassment that the time change for the 9-4 schools have never been adjusted to a normal time.

I strongly support keeping school start times as they are currently. All scenarios proposed by the BOE do not benefit all students in elementary/middle/high school. I see no point in changing a system that isn't broken.

Leave it as is

I would like for all, or near all, of the elementary schools to start and end at or near the same time. I absolutely do not think that given the recent data from Greenwich, that we should be moving dorward with a high school end time of 3:25.

Given the recent budgetary challenges the BOE is facing in the 17-18 budget, and the unknown impact of the final approved 18-19 budget, I would like to see a more retrospective approach taken to determine if this is the right thing to do or the right time. I would also like to see the BOE continue to review the results of some of the reports coming from the other districts that have already implemented later start times.

Due to after school athletics, I believe that the school times should stay the same! We live far away from other opponents, sitting in traffic to and from away games will just make them have to leave school even earlier! Please do not take my child out of academics because of later dismissals!
