I just looked at the screen and saw we finally hit one hundred signatures which feels honestly kind of wild because I was just sitting at my kitchen table frustrated about the schedule yesterday. It is pretty cool to see so many people feeling the same way about keeping the bus routes and the morning routine exactly as they are right now.

I just blinked and saw the number climbing which is honestly wild because sitting at my laptop drinking cold coffee makes this feel like a quiet hobby but it is actually happening. If everyone here just sent this to their neighbor right now we would blast right past that hundred mark and finally get the attention we need for these bus schedules.

Why is this being pushed through when most parents and students are adamantly opposed. I have five kids in all school levels and I cannot imagine my 5 year old walking to the bus as my 16 year old does every day. Listen to the majority and leave start times alone.
Contrary to the belief of many in support of LSST, there are MANY students who have and need jobs after school. A LSS will severally impeded the ability of these students to support their families, develop in a way a classroom can't help them, and help them help the community.
Changing times to earlier is going to wreck havoc on sports and after school jobs for all involved including parents kids and small business owners . I’ve heard many teenagers in my business say we will just stay up an extra hour .
I actually believe the science behind starting school later, but our district cannot afford this at this time. We had a budget freeze this year and will be lucky to squeak the current budget through. WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS.
Changing RHS start time will not make high schoolers have more sleep because they still have the same amount of homework and studying to finish. Also, did anyone consider working parents? How will they get the middle schooler to their bus stop @ 9 am and be at work on time??
Please consider the damage moving back start times has done to Greenwich Public Schools. Lower GPAs, higher rates of depression. Do not make the same mistake.
Keep the focus on education, not start times.

We need leadership in place first and a careful analysis of problems that surrounding towns have had implementing SSL. Once an actual plan in place that does not affect the youngest and most vulnerable students, present that to the town for discussion.
