It has come to our attention that facilities of USA intends to turn the beloved 201A, the biggest and most beautiful study room available to students on our campus, into a "full time IT kiosk". They plan to start construction as soon as tomorrow, mere days before finals. We have reached out to the administration but we would like to further support our emails by showing them just how important this room is to the students of our school since "student first" is one USA's core values. If you feel the same about 201A as we do, please consider signing our petition to keep 201A as a study room for the hard working students of our school.

I honestly never expected this kind of energy when I first typed this up in a panic last night because the sheer thought of losing that desk space for finals week was keeping me awake. Seeing everyone jump on board like this feels wild and makes me think maybe the administration will actually listen if they see all of us pushing back at once.

No one needs an IT desk! Those guys just sit and take up study space which is already severely lacking. They are a distraction as well. It’s absolutely absurd to take up space we as students pay for to make room for a service that has been available already.
we barely have enough room to cram as it is. leave 201a alone, nobody wants an it desk there.
There are already too few study rooms as it is so I don't understand why we are creating an IT kiosk. Even when people reach out to IT, they still aren't able to help and I don't see this being any different. It is more crucial to have more places to study than an IT kiosk.
There aren’t enough places to sit on campus, let alone enough study rooms. If you’re cutting it in half for an IT desk, that’s just pointless. It’s only making the problem on campus worse. It’ll be too loud for anyone to actually focus.
201A is very important to my classmates and I, as it is essential part of our group study. I believe that 201A has been and will be more utilized than an IT kiosk.
We lack places to study already, don’t reduce our options further

Are you kidding me? Finals are next week and they want to start drilling right in the middle of our study spot. This is ridiculous.
