Year 12 students at Kardinia International College (both past, present and future) are currently unable to wear their personalised hoodies and jackets. As a year 12 student, many view their hoodie as a symbol of the time they've spent completing their high school studies. They view their hoodie as a garment and insignia they've earned through hard work, success, failure, and more monitor points than the answer to a year seven's maths homework. Due to the past mistakes of students of other years, graduans of 2012 have had their privileges to wear a hoodie instead of a jumper revoked. We, as the graduands of 2012 and those of years to come, wish to see a change to this and be given an opportunity to wear our garments at school. The signing of this petition represents those of us who wish to show the staff of Kardinia International College the importance of these garments, as school may become the place most of us have an opportunity to wear them.
