THIS IS A PETITION THAT WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE LENOIR COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPT. TOMORROW. IT IS A PLEAD TO LET TOMMIE MERCER PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME THURSDAY NIGHT. PLEASE GET EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO SIGN IT. HE WAS EJECTED FOR A GAME DUE TO BEING HARASSED AND TACKLED BY A PLAYER FROM THE OPPOSING TEAM, HE NEVER FOUGHT BACK BUT WAS EJECTED JUST LIKE THE PLAYER CAUSING THE PROBLEM. HE WAS TOLD HE CANNOT PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, THE MESSAGE BEING SENT OUT TO OUR YOUTH IS, FIGHT OR DON'T FIGHT YOU STILL WILL GET THE SAME PUNISHMENT AS THE ONE FIGHTING.
PLEASE SHOW SUPPORT FOR TOMMIE.
Seeing 250 names on this list gives me so much hope that Tommie will get a fair shot. It is clear that our community understands this ruling is wrong and we are ready to see justice for him.

Seeing this wave of support reminds me that we are right to defend Tommie after everything he went through on that field. This momentum proves that people recognize how unfair this ruling is for a kid who kept his head when he was wronged.

This is total garbage. He was just defending himself. Let the kid play.

Ridiculous decision. If you get tackled you deserve to stand up for yourself. Tommie deserves to be on that field.

LET HIM PLAY. He stood his ground without fighting back and is getting punished anyway? Makes no sense.
