On October 14th 2007 John Stephen Howell made the decision to get behind the wheel of his car after drinking with friends. He also made the decision to take a passenger along with him. At 5:18 p.m. John struck a retaining wall, resulting in Brians death. John has since been tried and convicted. His sentence for taking a life was probation for 5yrs to include drug and alchohol testing and 300 hrs. of community service. John's attorney has filed a request for reconsideration of sentence. Their asking for him to get a PBJ. They are hoping to have the convition nulled. I am asking to object any reduction of the sentence. He may be finding it tough but it's better than jail.
