Catherine Corless was determined to find out what happened to the "home babies"she remembered from her schooldays. She discovered there are 796 babies and toddlers that were thrown into pits on the site of the mothers and babies home, with no burial records. Please sign this petition asking Catherine Zappone, Minister of Children and Youth Affairs to ensure the bodies are exhumed and identified, and that the babies are finally laid to rest with their mothers and that those responsible for the cruel and barbaric treatment of these poor babies and their long suffering mothers are finally brought to justice.JUSTICE FOR TUAM BABIES!

Updates

March 11, 2017

The weight of these stories is heavy but silence is not an option. We are still pushing for the exhumation so these children finally receive the dignity they were denied.

March 11, 2017

The momentum is undeniable now. These children deserve the dignity we are finally demanding for them.

God bless all these babies and survivors. All these babies existed and it is now time that they are identified for their families and laid to rest.

Truly disgusted at some of the comments in light of the discoveries at the Tuam Mother and Baby Home. Something should be done, and must be done, rather than hiding from and/or ignoring what happened and the evidence of it. They should never have been and will never be forgotten.

Please let t these babies have a proper resting place. No doubt most of those involved with this crime will be too old to prosecute, but someone should be held accountable.

Shame that one of our local councillor's thinks that the babies and children should be left to "rest in peace" in a septic tank. The mind boggles that anyone would think this is ok. It is about time that these babies and children and their families were shown some respect.

How these women and children was treated was barbaric. They must be laid to rest properly and not just shoved in a septic tank.
