The court finally handed down a sentence that reflects the gravity of what happened to Samaria. It has been a long and draining road to reach this point but your backing kept this moving forward when the odds felt impossible. We have reached a form of justice at last.

On July 22, 2016 Samaria Motyka was left in a car by Brittany Borgess. As a result of her negligence Samaria passed away. We as a family feel that the charges do not fit the crime and we realize that we will never get the justice that is deserved. Borgess is charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child, recklessly endangering another person and leaving an unattended child in a motor vehicle. There have been many incidents that many do not know about that have led up to this tragic event. There needs to be justice for our children. We need to stand up for the ones that depend on us to survive and protect them. The ones that do not have a voice of their own, we need to speak up for them, to make a difference.

As a mother of three, I know with 100 percent certainty that i would never leave my world ( kids) in a hot car to die. I wouldn't forget!!! I have lost my id and maybe even my keys, but how could you forget something that is so precious, something so meaningful....
No justic for this poor girl. There is no justice system. This girl killed this sweet angle and gets. $25 fine. My daughter protects her kids, no one got hurt and she is going to jail for 11 mo and taken away from her kids. How is there justice in any situation here.
There is no excuse for these kinds of actions. There is no, "mistake" here. There is no "I forgot." There is no reason for anybody to forget a child. And excusing these actions is just opening the doors for more and more "accidents'" to occur.
This is beyond disgusting what she did to this beautiful little girl. How is this not murder when she took the time to drop her own child off at daycare in a whole other part of down. I truly hope this family gets the justice they deserve for their beautiful angel.
I do believe there are instances people truly do this in error, a very tragic mistake. However, I do not believe the instances of this case point to a tragic mistake but to a horrible premeditated action. I pray I am wrong, but the circumstances need further review.

How much is that's childs life worth because I know it was worth more than $25. I've had parking tickets more than that. Even if which I highly doubt it was even if it was an accident it's still negligence and she should still be held accountable.
