As Student Union, we are aware of decisions taken over our 4 SRC members (Ts'epo Ts'oane,Phuthang Mohlakoana, Motseki Jane and Teboho Machaha) and we are not satisfied that they will not be taking their end assessments. Not taking assessments means they won't be sponsored by government next semester and this might put end to their future .They were representing us,we sent them to act on our behalf so we want them back,or else we are not taking end Assessments because we put them in this situation.

Updates

May 2, 2022

We just hit 100 signatures and the university administration is already feeling the heat. They think they can crush the futures of our SRC members without a fight but they are dead wrong.

April 30, 2022

We just hit 250 signatures and the administration still refuses to listen to our demands regarding these four students. If the university thinks we will just stand by while they sabotage these futures, they are dead wrong.

The momentum behind this petition is proving that the university administration cannot ignore our demands for justice any longer. They think they can silence the leaders who stood up for us but this surge of support shows that we are united against their cowardice.

What really is a use of student representatives if they can't even present anything without suspension... How is that promoting leadership and honestly suspension is really harsh for someone who is at their first mistake

The management should reconsider the charges raised against these members of the council , the whole council was should face same charge not to pin point out certain individuals and suspend them while there are other members who are still left in the council. The criteria on which the judgement was made must also be transparent and be clearly stated to serve justice to the victims .

Action was taken by all of them for all of us...A warning was enough! But written with no oral warning, really? Free Our leaders! What about their future? Why them?

Please members of SRC should be back to school because most of us we don't have money so suspension of students is not good at all. SRC was playing important rule of taking students responsibility because at the first time school do registered for taking part on ground level but when it the day management refuses; that was not fair at all. Remember we are human being like everyone. Thank you

As student union, we need back our four members of SRC namely,Ts'epo Ts'oane, Phathang Mohlakoaha, Motseki Jane and Teboho Machaba. They play an important role to see that our right are accounted. Therefore,I wish that end assessment should stop so that they can also have the opportunity to pursue their studies too.
