The school board just adopted our new policy for handling assault reports. They are finally implementing the mandatory protections we fought for to keep students safe. Keep an eye on the administration to ensure these rules are actually followed in practice.

Justice for Madison! Madison is a sophomore at Ovey comeaux highschool.
Madison was sexually assulted while passing through a crowded area of the school. As a boy told her to "give him head" while trying to get her into a nearby bathroom. She then slapped him and went to class immediately.
Madison called her mother. When her mother got to the school they spoke with an administrator who began to put the blame on Madison, the victim.
This petition was made to create rules for administrators to follow in these types of situations, to help the future victims if the went through something that could've ended more seriously.

This is more than a disgrace on our school. How can girls feel safe at Comeaux knowing that if they get assulted they'all be blamed for it? What could have Madison possibly have done to show she wanted to be assulted??? That's insane.
this isn't right. as the adults and administrators of the school, i thought you all would know better. but, i guess you don't. so, we have to make a statement ourselves as the student body.
Madison was wrongly treated and the boy deserves to be punished. This school has wrongly denied many girls of safeness. I personally was assulted by a boy and was hospitalized from a severe concussion and i was told i was in the wrong even though i did nothing wrong. Action needs to be taken.
Ive had my butt grabbed twice at school and have yet to find out who it is. I know it doesn't amount to this but its just another thing that the school has not taken care of. this happened to my other friend too someone came in the bathroom and said things like this. Im extremely tired of no one caring so wow
Honestly, Madison is my best friend, and the fact that something like this is permitted to happen to someone as sweet as her is, frankly, disgusting.
This is in no way acceptable. Students should feel safe at school.

If the victim gets blamed for standing up for themselves ( boy or girl) then I don't feel safe going to school or anywhere anymore. This isn't right. And please stop teaching boys that girls are sexual object because we are not. Nobody should be told that. And if I was the victim I would have punched him and done worse.
