Justice for Jeff Jeff Caron was a 27 year old Canadian aboriginal worker that moved to British Columbia for a better life . Jeff was killed on Oct 11, 2012 while he was working for a company that disregarded all safety concerns. WorkSafeBC found 4 companies at fault but did not recommend criminal charges until 18 months later, and Only after a campaign was initiated by his co-worker. We are looking to raise awareness, not only for Jeff's legacy, but to prevent future accidents from being swept under the rug. Kill a worker, go to jail. Stop the killings. This could happen to anyone you know and love. Without action, The Canadian justice system will let the corrupt companys get away with it. The following stats report the number of worker related deaths in British Columbia alone:

2004 - 223

2005 - 259 , 2006 - 274 , 2007 - 228 , 2008 - 225 , 2009 - 174 , 2010 - 185 , 2011 - 190, 2012 - 183 , 2013 - 186, 2014 - 175 , "Justice For Jeff "

Changes need to be made by both employer and WSBC.Injured workers shouldn't be treated like they are .

I agree penalties should be imposed maybe it will make employers think twice about putting someones life at risk.

The hardest fact to digest was that it was all in vain because the safety of that trench was questioned twice that day. Lets make sure this does not happen in the future.

Time for change, it's a disgrace what some companies still get away with! I've worked in the construction industry and oil & gas. Every company I worked for pretended to have safety measures in place. The policies were in the manuals but nobody followed the procedures! EVER
