This petition is to seek justice for an innocent Staten Island man Eric Garner who was wrongfully killed by NYPD. Eric Garner was choked to death by NYPD. Chokeholds were deemed illegal to be used by NYPD as a means of restraint by former Police Commissioner Kelly. This injustice act as captured on video clear as day. Mr. Garner screamed "I can't breathe" several times while NYPD continued to choke and brutalize him. An officer pressed his face to the concrete while he was handcuffed and was not resisting arrest.
