Eric Ganer! Michael Brown! Tamir Rice! And Freddie Gray! . . . I’m sure these names sound familiar if not all at least one. They are few off the many victims of police brutality.

What is police brutality? It is said to the use of any exceeding that is reasonably necessary to accomplish a lawful police purpose. I would like to think otherwise. I believe that it is the power that one men has with a badge. In those cases none of the victims had weapons. Yet the police calls it lawful officers claim to be intimidated. I do feel like if a police truly feel endangered they should act accordingly, but I do not feel like lives shouldn’t be taking away over assumptions. For every action there is a reaction. It causes people to have more resentment towards the police. We should not be scared of police because there purpose it to protect but how should we feel when the purpose that supposed to protect us is hurting us?

I am currently compiling the experiences shared in the comments to present directly to our local precinct leaders. Call your city council representative today and demand that they review their current policies on use of force. We need to keep this pressure on until they explain why these patterns continue.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and it proves that people are ready to demand accountability from those in power. Post this link on Facebook to keep the pressure high. Send a direct email to your local representative today and tell them that we are watching.

I want police to be responsible and accept accountability for their actions. they came in our yard and tackled my 59 or 60 year old husband and tased him. He didn't do anything. next day I went to pick him up at the jail, and a sheriff came out and said jeff wasn't allowed to be near me. I said why can't my husband come home. The sheriff said " domestic violence"

If a cop says they were intimidated, then why are you a cop. We don't need cowards protecting us or anyone that is afraid of the people they're supposed to protect.
