We the citizens along with Mr. Ramsey Orta of New York City, petition the Staten Island supreme courts for a change of venue for upcoming criminal charges followed by his two arrests by Staten Island police officers. Mr . Ramsey was recently released from Rikers island, where he was held on $99,999.000 bail. A bail bond was raised by the public donations. Given mr. Orta's direct and singular involvement in filming the death of his friend, Eric garner, we feel that Mr. Orta would not receive a fair trail in Staten Island , where Mr, garner death took place at the hands of Staten Island police officers . Therefore we are petitioning the court to have Mr. Ramsey orta case transferred to another borough, and away from Staten Island courts. Because Mr.orta 's documentation of Mr. Garner's death, this incident became national news and the New York police department came under intense scrutiny. We feel that for this reason, mr. Orta was subject to undue police harassment and retaliation every day to the point that he felt unduly targeted by said police officers. We are strongly seeking a change of venue for all future courts appearances so that Ramsey orta may have a fair trail . Under the current circumstances, mr. Orta cannot and will not have a fair and impartial tribunal in this judicial circuit,, therefore , he moves this court to grant his motion for change of venue and have the case taken out of Staten Island. Mr orta prays this honorable state court will grant his motion for change of venue and have the case transferred .
