The prosecutor finally agreed to reopen the case and seek justice for my David. Getting this news after six years of silence feels like a heavy weight has finally been lifted from our family. We are going to make sure the truth comes out in a court of law.

Final supporters
We the family members of David Wayne Nave Jr are asking for your support by signing this petition in regards to the wrongful death shooting by Sheriff Deputy's of Clayton County. The incident resulted in his life being taken away from us at the young age of 19. It has been 6 long years and we the family has yet to receive any type of justice, prosecution, nor clarity which would allow us to find some sense of closure in the matter.
Although we have overwhelming evidence proving the shooting was unjustified, based on the findings of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and statements from witnesses, we were still denied a trial. According to the Constitution, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. David's Constitutional Rights were violated! So we the family members of David Wayne Nave Jr. are asking again for your support by signing this petition.

Seeing this kind of momentum brings me back to the nights I spent sitting in David's room wondering if anyone would ever care about the truth. Knowing that so many people are finally looking at these files alongside us feels like the first real step toward the justice he deserves.

They had other options than using lethal force. A taser would have done the job. This whole thing makes me sick.
My heart breaks for his family. 6 years is way too long to wait for real answers. Nobody should lose a kid this way.

CLAYTON COUNTY POLICE NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. DAVID WAS ONLY 19 YEARS OLD. JUSTICE FOR DAVID NAVE JR.
I remember him from high school. He had such a bright future ahead of him. Sending love to the whole family.
He definitely did not deserve this.

I know David personally He was A great person If the police said he had A knife That's not enough to shoot & kill somebody Police could've easily used their taser to get him to stop running towards them
