Dear Administration,
We as of Summit High School really appreciate the hour block of lunch due to the new block scheduling that began this fall semester. However, there are some things that need to be changed. The places to eat are extremely overcrowded, especially the cafeteria and the auxiliary gym. Many students end up eating on the floor-this is unsanitary. There are so many kids trying to get lunch as quickly as possible, that the traffic in the lines is unbearable. It takes nearly half the lunch block just to get lunch alone, which defeats the purpose of the extra time.
Furthermore, once we are finished eating, it is difficult to get much homework done if you don't have a gold pass to the library. It is really loud in the cafeteria/aux. gym, and the library fills up very quickly with students.
The junior class has been in the school for three years, they know the way things work. They are upperclassmen, and deserve some privilege. Junior year is the most stressful time for many teenagers, especially in Summit, NJ-they deserve a little bit of privilege. The seniors are allowed to leave during lunch, and the juniors should be allowed as well to prevent the aforementioned atrocities.

Seeing this much momentum makes the daily exhaustion feel worth it. It is clear that I am not the only one tired of sitting on a cafeteria floor just to eat a sandwich.

As a junior, I think that we don't have any privileges, but now with the block scheduling, the seniors don't have a lot of privileges either. They have to share their SENIOR lounge. I think that before the juniors gain their privileges, the seniors should be granted theirs, that they earned.
As a student of SHS, I feel that my feet should be scouted by the Arsenal Youth Academy. Without a doubt, I believe I have the greatest potential to develop into a pro footrubber.

The school doesn't provide meals big enough to satisfy me. I need to leave school and eat higher protein meals.
