We have started this petition to oppose the fact that the mocks will be taken into account for our final grade. The mocks have always been and should always be just a wake up call for 3rd year students to begin preparation for their real exams. Few of us put maximum effort into them and I believe they shouldn't account, even partially, for a result that will determine our future in education eg eg the level subjects at Leaving Cert will be taken at. we have our parents support in this.

Our requests are as follows,

1.that the mocks are removed from judgement of our results

2.that our Cba results play a part in our result.

3. that the exams are based on what our teachers have managed to cover and that we are given a fair chance at achieving a good grade for our certificate.

I have been hearing from so many of you about how stressed everyone is with these mock results hanging over us like a shadow (nobody told us they would actually count for anything real). I am currently trying to get a meeting with the administration to figure out why the goalposts shifted so suddenly without any warning to the students.

Fix this. Teachers barely finished the syllabus and now they want to penalize us for mocks? absolute joke.

The mocks are meant to be a practice run. If they start counting now it completely changes the purpose of them. Ridiculous idea.

Mocks are a total waste of time if they actually count. I wasnt even trying for mine just wanted to see what the paper looked like. This is so unfair.
