The Ambridge School District is trying to rid of the USMC JROTC because the disrtict is $1.9 million in debt. Meanwhile the school district does NOT pay for anything the program does. The only thing the school district pays for is HALF the 2 instructors salary. We fundraise for anything we want to do. If we want to go on a field trip or do something extra we have to raise money to go there or do it. The district gets $600.00 for every student that comes to Ambridge for the USMC JROTC program from a DIFFERENT school disrtict. Right now we have 17 students with 20 more to come next year. Ambridge is benefiting from this program. Why should the students of the program have to suffer for the district's problem?????
