Mr John Mossop has been a McGill Mining Engineering icon for many generations of successful graduates, and rightfully so. As many of us are spread out all over the world, and we don't have the means to physically sign the petition circulating denouncing the unfair, ungrateful an shameless treatment Mr Mossop is receiving, we have chosen this online tool to make our voices heard. Without repeating the facts and arguments in the hardcopy petition being submitted to Dean Kirk (through the CMEUS mining rep), in addition to being a precious lecturer, Mr Mossop has been an experience-transmitter, an advisor, a friend to us; furthermore, he has always been there to help a department that always struggled to stay alive.

Total joke. Mossop is the best lecturer we ever had. Give him his job back now
John is the reason I made it through third year. Absolute legend of the mining department. Shame on you McGill.
Terrible decision by the university. John has done more for the mining program than anyone else in that building.
He helped me so much during my final year projects. You dont fire someone like him. So ungrateful.
This man is a legend. He actually cares about the students and his teaching methods are world class. What is wrong with the admin???
